   PSA: Important things you need to consider for this game:

   1) Block the game from accessing the internet, by configuring your firewall for the game’s .exe accordingly. This will fix freezing/crashing.

   Jeezy77 suggested to disable your computer’s Bluetooth module before starting the game.

   If these things didn’t help, apply either of the following alternative cracks:

   ColdClientLoader: https://pixeldrain.com/u/MtSFAkcs
   (Start the game from steamclient_loader_x64.exe instead of the regular .exe file after replacing all old files)

   (Start the game from the included .exe file after replacing all old files)

   IN THEORY, when applying the alternatives they should be able to read your old RUNE savegame but there’s no guarantee, so make a backup before starting the game. Savegames are located at \Documents\KoeiTecmo\WARRIORSAbyss\SAVEDATA

   If switching between CCL and Goldberg it should not create a new one, due to the same steamID being used, however make a backup just in case.

   2) Remove the “costume DLC” entries from your crack’s config file. If not, all characters will be playable, albeit being locked in the collection and trees.

   The location of the file is either “steam_emu.ini” in your game folder if using RUNE’s crack, or “DLC.txt” / “configs.app.ini” inside the “steam_settings” folder within your game folder if using the alternatives.

   If anyone experiencing the freezing issue, you can edit the ini file to the following.

   LobbyEnable=0

   Overlays=0

   Offline=1
