That’s because this brand is no longer owned by the original Haverst Moon team. The original team is developing Story Of Seasons, I recommend him or Stardew Valley, it’s a billion times better than this crap.
Fun fact: this is not an original Harvest Moon (Story of Seasons) game. In 2012 Marvelous (the game’s developer) ceased contract with the NA publisher Natsume and somehow lost the naming rights to the publishers. With that said the original franchise got rebranded as “Story of Seasons” in the West and Natsume took the opportunity to use the “Harvest Moon” naming rights and started launching clones lol. If you want to play any Harvest Moon games released after 2012 it will go by the Story of Seasons name.

Stardew Valley is a horse shit game, its only popular in the West to override the lgacy of Harvest Moon by Japenese Devs, that is all.

I can’t get into harvest moon ever since i tried rune factory not to mention HM gfx hardly shows any improvement stardew valley and graveyard keeper is also agreat alternative if you guys like the genre

It’s not the same Harvest Moon. Back in 2014 Marvelous lost the rights to the name. In Japan the game is known as Bokujō Monogatari (Farm Story) and Harvest Moon was the international name, which is owned by Natsume. Marvelous, the actual developers of these games decided to start publishing outside Japan themselves, not through Natsume, but couldn’t get the name. So now the actual harvest moon games are called Story of Seasons… but you can tell they don’t have the budget they once had (or perhaps the transition to 3D was not what Marvelous excels in).
Don’t waste your time with the Harvest Moon games after 2014 as they are published by Natsume riding on the hype around the name, and play Story of Seasons… though after Stardew Valley came out, Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons honestly lost a lot of appeal. They want to stay stuck in 2006 and not bring innovations to the genre that Stardew did have.
My files would not save so after two hours of playing and saving at least twice I have to start over.
